We want to invite you to join our
Catholic Psychotherapy Association
Membership Criteria
The Criteria for membership in the Association shall be the following:
(1) Demonstrating on-going support of and fidelity to the teachings of the Catholic Church, especially her social and ethical teachings, and teachings on marriage and family life.
(2) Support of the mission of the Association.
(3) Successful completion of the application process established by the Board of Directors.atholic values in psychotherapy are welcome to become members of the CPA
Membership Categories
- Clinical Members (anyone who possesses a graduate degree in a mental health field and is licensed or certified by their state)
- Psychologists, Licensed Professional Counselors, Social Workers, Marriage & Family therapists, & Affiliate therapists
- Academic Members (anyone who possesses a graduate degree in a mental health field, social sciences, philosophy, or theology)
- Professors, teachers, supervisors in the mental health fields, those who possess a graduate degree in a mental health field, social sciences, philosophy, or theology.
- Student Members (anyone enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in the mental health field, social sciences, philosophy, or theology)
- Affiliate Members (anyone who does not meet the criteria for membership)
- Clergy, Religious, Seminarians, interested non-Catholic and non-US citizens are welcome to be members of the CPA.
All those interested in supporting the promotion of Catholic values in psychotherapy are welcome to become members of the CPA

CPA Members enjoy the benefit of our email Listserv where they are kept apprised of important announcements and upcoming events. Members also use it to share information, network, and communicate with each other. All new members are automatically added to the CPA Listserv.
